All suspension fork manufacturer recommand routine inspections, relube, rebuild. Check other brands manuals and you'll see the same is true with most forks.

Headshoks and Leftys are not worse and they are very reliable, much more than every other suspension brand I have experience with. And they are the only front suspension that roll on bearings, not slide on bushings. Bushings need to be changed after a while (constantly rub 2 solids together, wear can't be avoided).Tions about your fork or the contents of this manual, don't hesitate to con- tact us. Your HeadShok equipped Cannondale bicycle should have included both.

RECOMMENDED SAG. Fatty or Ultra. 1/8' (3.5mm). 1/4-3/8' (6.0-9.5mm).

1/2-5/8' (12.5-16mm).Missing.Bearings just need to be cleaned and lubed and will last a long time. A yearly check up on a Headshok costs. What (Mendon?). It's not that bad. I replaced my 80mm travel Super Fatty with a Manitou Minute 1:00 using the Cane Creek adaptor headset.80mm up front was not at all balanced for a trailbike with 120mm rear travel.

If I was racing XC on a hardtail or short travel FS, I probably would have kept the Headshock. Nothing under 5lbs tracks like a Headshock. My biggest grind with a Lefty was the PITA with R&R of the front wheel with a disc brake.

I need to do this for transporting the bike. The Lefty is a good fork. There are lots of good forks that are easier to live with in MY particular situation.YOUR particular situation may be different.

Also, higher end Lefty's are not cheap. Cheap Lefty's are not even cheap. As for the ride, I like 'em just fine, but don't regret buying the Minute 1:00 at all.Just wondering if anyone has replaced their Cannondale Headshok Fatty with a different suspension fork or can it be done? If you have what did you go with?A couple of months ago I replaced my Headshock with a Marzocchi Drop Off with 5+ inches of super plush travel. Used a Canecreek Double Xc adapter headset purchased from Greenfish. The whole change is extremely simple, straight bolt on. It does require a new stem as well as the Canecreek.

Singari Sarakku Nalla Sarakku Mp3 Download. This was the second best modification I have ever made to my Super V, the first was changing to disc brakes.

The Headshock was a pain to maintain and didn't work very well, I didn't realize how bad it was until I rode the Marzocchi.I am an agressive XC 220# rider and I have been riding MB since 1989, my only regret is I didn't change sooner, really makes riding fun again. Based on recent research on my 20 years experience with off road motorcycles, I expect the Marzocchi to be bullet proof.Did you try Alfred E Bike or Greenfish? Not Alfred E. To be honest my search wasn't exactly exhaustive. I didn't have a ton of time to look for it, and neither Jenson, Blue Sky, Pricepoint, Cambria, or any of my other usual retailers carried it or if they did they didn't have it in stock. So I just placed my order with Beyond Bikes, even though I'm fairly sure it isn't going to arrive in time despite what I was told by the guy on the phone. I think he upgraded it to next day shipping, but unless it comes in to Beyond Bikes and ships out tomorrow it's not going to arrive even if it is shipped next day. One more week of waiting.I know they are a great fork but the maintenance is a little more time consuming and costly over most other forks I hear, no?Unlike other forks it's a sealed system that is virtually maintenance free.

I remove the top zip tie on the headshok boot every 3000 miles or so and reapply some marine grade white lithium bearing grease. I reinstall the headshok boot and I'm done. The only other issue maintenance wise that I address is reinflating the air pressure once every 4-5 months.I use about 200 psi in my fork and it loses about 20psi or so over 4-5 months. My 5 position dial setting still works well too. It's on a 1999 F3000.The only parts that I have replaced are the actual plastic dial at the top of the headshok and the top bearing that rests in the frame cups in the headtube. The dial developed a crack and I replaced it with a CLC Concepts, cnc machined aluminum dial. The rubber gasket in the top bearing that rests in the frame cups wore out probably due to sweat and grime.

The last time I changed out framesets I replaced the bearing. The fork internals have never been serviced other than the grease application. After 55,0000 miles it's almost as plush as it was when I bought it. I weigh 210 pounds and I'm no lightweight rider. I could probably credit the longevity of the fork in some part due to the lack of humidity where I live in Taos, NM but I think that the rocky terrain that I ride negates that.

Do you use Best Bike Buys? It is real handy when you are trying to find something in a hurry. This is the search I did I know about the frustration of waiting, I lost two weekends waiting on parts for my conversion. Thanks for the info I called Beyond Bikes and was told by the guy that my item was received and would be shipped out today for delivery tomorrow.

Maybe I'll be rolling on my new squishy fork this weekend! I've been playing with it in my room getting a feel for the knobs and rebound. Something I never had on my Headshok! Hopefully I'll be riding this weekend. If I am, I'll definitely be singing some praises for BB, considering they price matched and upgraded my shipping to NDA just to get my business.I got my Vanilla installed and rode it over the weekend. It's so sweet. Very plush, plenty of travel.Makes the bike feel a little better balanced travel wise.

The extra travel seems to have made the bike kind of tend to try and 'wheelie' during seated climbing on the really steep stuff. But the better geometry and more travel make my body position and the bike feel really sweet in the technical stuff. The fork makes climbing easier because it rolls over stuff instead of bouncing off it like my Headshok, as long as the terrain isn't super steep where the front end feels like it wants to lift off. Overall I like the bike with 130mm of travel. It's definitely worth the tradeoff and the geometry of the bike is very confidence inspiring, and so is the extra plushness and travel. I'm very pleased.
